At The Landings Club, tennis members enjoy playing year-round with other outgoing, enthusiastic members. They are players of all levels, singles and doubles players, beginners and veterans of sanctioned tournaments, tiny tots, juniors, and adults of all ages. And you'll happily discover that finding a partner is as easy as finding a court!

The Marshwood, Franklin Creek and Oakridge Tennis centers provide a total of 36 courts (32 Clay, 2 Hard and 2 Paddle), a 500 seat stadium, pro-shop and Cafe. The Landings Club offers the full spectrum of tennis opportunities for a large and active tennis population. Franklin Creek, one of the finest facilities in the Southeast, has been home to the USTA Men's National 40's Clay Court Championships since 1981. Court availability, the friendliness of the members and excellent programs make Landings Club tennis unique.

The Landings Club USPTA and USPTR pros conduct weekly clinics and drills, teach private and group lessons, and happily assist you with all aspects of your game from court reservations to racquet selection. In addition, they coach The Landing Club's teams involved in league play, and organize charitable, sanctioned and membership tournaments of every variety from mixers to Club Championships.

Upcoming Events

The USTA National Men's 40 Clay Court Championships will take place October 1-7, 2010 at the Franklin Creek Tennis Center. This is the tournament's 22nd consecutive year at The Landings and will feature players from several states around the nation. The players, many of whom are former tour professionals, are competing in the 40-49 year age bracket.

The USTA Georgia Super Senior Championship will take place October 22-24, 2010, at the Franklin Creek Tennis Center. The event, which is in its 10th year at The Landings, was voted the USTA Southern Georgia 2008 Team Tennis Event/Program of the Year. The tournament will feature more than 650 players, both men and women ages 60 and over and 70. Winners of the tournament will go on to represent Georgia at the USTA Sectional Championships in March 2011.

Recent Events

The $50,000 USTA Savannah Challenger was once again a major success, drawing thousands of tennis fans from the region, who were treated to a week of professional matches. The tournament, which took place May 1-9 at The Landings on Skidaway Island, featured 48 world-ranked tennis professionals vying to win highly coveted ATP ranking points in addition to prize money.

Kei Nishikori of Japan won the singles tournament, defeating Ryan Sweeting of the United States 6-4, 6-0, while the doubles team of Jamie Baker and James Ward of Great Britain bested the team of Bobby Reynolds (United States) and Fritz Wolmarans (South Africa) 6-3, 6-4.

Attendance at the 2010 Tail USTA $50,000 Savannah Challenger surpassed the previous year's total of 3,200, and there were capacity crowds during several days of the week-long tournament.
