| Farm Team clinics and play sessions are conducted Thursday afternoons by the Landings Golf Professional Staff at various courses. Participants receive handouts on skills tips and game tips before heading to the course to tee it up for 9 holes with other new golfers in an easy and fun format. Clinics run for 60 minutes, and cover topics such as putting, chipping, pitching, sand, full swing and more. Game topics include a vast amount of topics all designed to make a newcomer feel more at home when playing golf. Topics might cover handicapping, cart maneuvering, rules, how to's, gamesmanship, etiquette and more. Play formats include Par Strokes Scoring, Alternate Shot Variations, Scrambles, Free Throws and more, all designed to keep play fun and timed near a two-hour round. The Stopwatch Exercise allows members to learn how to keep a reasonable pace of play by timing themselves within their group. Join the fun to see how many holes your group can complete without having to pick up before time is up! LPGA / PGA Teaching Professional Nicole Weller joins the Play Day once a month to cheer on participants and provide tips during the course of play. |
