Court sports are a popular past time at The Landings Club. The center of the action is our Franklin Creek Sports Complex, located in the center of the island. You can also find courts at Oakridge Wellness Center and behind Marshwood Clubhouse. Our member approved and chaired a $25 million revitalization project that completely changed the court sports world. At our Franklin Creek campus, the project brought forth a new 4,500 sq. ft. fast-casual dining facility, The Deck, new pickleball and bocce courts, and an enhanced pool complex with zero entry point, children's splash pad and unique water feature.
The Landings Club boasts the nation's largest residential clay court facility where members enjoy year-round tennis, daily programs, league play, exciting events, tournaments and group play. We offer programs and lessons for all ages and levels of play. Both adult and junior players will enjoy the unique programs offered through our Landings Tennis Academy, conducted by our USPTA and PTR tennis staff. If you want to play a friendly game, you can reserve a time on one of our 33 courts, 11 of which are lighted for night play at three different locations across the island. The Landings Tennis Academy (LTA) is a full adult and junior program with a Learn, Train and Play coaching philosophy. We help members get the most out of their tennis experience each and every time they step on our courts by offering high-level coaching programs for members of all ages to learn strokes, strategies, tactics and mental training proven to improve their tennis game.
Pickleball is the most rapidly growing sport in the United States, even more so in The Landings Club. The Landings Club Pickleball League, created in 2017 with only 80 players, has grown to more than 200 players. With our eight pickleball courts and 12 weekly clinics, there is plenty of opportunities for old and new players. Franklin Creek Sports Complex is the place to be on Tuesday nights for pickleball league play.
Bocce is one of our most popular court sport amenities. We now have six state of the art bocce ball courts made of ground oyster shells at our Franklin Creek Campus. Members enjoy scheduled bocce clinics, mixed adult league play and casual games throughout the year. We have bocce ball sets to loan or members may play with their own personal sets.
