Our 2016 LPGA*USGA Girls Golf at The Landings Club program kicked off in January with five participants; the young ladies learned handshakes + greetings in various cultures around the world, then tested those greetings on the putting green before warming up, tackling the Kick-Punch Bopper and heading to the course to play scrambles to the closest to one of the 3 winter holes on the green.
The Landings Club award-winning Head Golf Teaching Professional Nicole Weller brought the wonderful LPGA*USGA Girls Golf program to our members in 2015, and will continue to grow our chapter this year. Click here for more information on the program that is open to all TLC membership levels ages 6+.
LPGA-USGA Girls Golf (Girls Golf) provides an opportunity for girls, ages 7 to 17, to learn to play golf, build lasting friendships, and experience competition in a fun, supportive environment, preparing them for a lifetime of enjoyment with the game. Girls are learning values inherent to the game of golf, such as patience, respect, perseverance and honesty, preparing them to meet the challenges of today’s world with confidence. The only national initiative of its kind, Girls Golf is administered through a partnership between The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Foundation and the United States Golf Association (USGA), both non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organizations. LPGA-USGA Girls Golf headquarters is located in Daytona Beach, FL.
