Should I Add a Peel to My Next Facial?
If you get facials on a regular basis, then you already know the benefits of professional skincare. The addition of a peel during your facial will assist in product penetration, skin clarity, and the healing of blemishes. Enzyme and chemical peels remove dead layers of skin, revealing an even smoother skin than a basic facial alone. These types of spa peels are not to be confused with medical-grade peels that leave the skin red, irritated, and flaking for days and even weeks. Here at the Oakridge Wellness Center, we offer two types of spa-grade peels.
Signature Facial with Enzyme Peel
Enzyme peels are fruit acids that come from natural sources such as pumpkin, guava, or passion fruit. This type of peel is the mildest type of peel dissolving the most superficial layer of dead skin in the epidermis layer of the skin. It is perfect for someone new to receiving peels, pregnant women and sensitive skin individuals.
Signature Facial with Chemical Peel
Chemical peels are derived from a combination of natural and synthetic ingredients such as glycolic acid, salicylic, lactic, and mandelic acids. These peels go a little deeper than the enzyme peels while still only removing the dead layers of skin in the epidermis layer rather than the dermis layer that only a medical-grade peel can achieve.
Both treatments include all aspects of the Oakridge Signature Facial with the addition of the peel process. The price for this service is $150. Book your facial service with our aesthetician by calling the Oakridge Reception Desk at 912.598.5566.
