Once a month, The Landings Club golf staff awards a well-deserving young golfer with the coveted Youth Golfer Spotlight. The August Youth Golfer is Andrew Messalle. Congratulations Andrew, and keep up the good work!

How long have you been playing golf? Since age 6.

Favorite club: 9 iron

Favorite Course inside The Landings Club: Deer Creek 

Favorite Course outside of The Landings Club: Trump Doral Blue Monster

Longest Putt you ever made: 65 feet

What clubs/bag/ball/golf equipment do you play: Ping driver/fairway woods/irons, a Scotty Cameron Putter, TaylorMade wedges and a Titleist bag and golf balls.

Favorite Role Model/s: His mom

Who would be your dream team to play golf with? Tiger Woods, Brooke Koepka and the legendary Ben Hogan

Best Golf Memory: 1) Making his first eagle at age 9; 2) Shooting a 67 last month at Deer Creek from the Club tees where he birdied the last 5 holes.

Favorite Hobbies & Sports? Golf, fishing and practical jokes.

Best advice for golf and/or life: Be persistent and stick with it, even if things aren't going your way.

What kind of job do you think you’d like to do as an adult? Either a PGA Tour Professional or a doctor.
