Golf for a Cure 2019

Golf for a Cure

Do you want to help us reach our goal of raising as much money as we can to fight cancer? Great news: you can!

The Landings Women Golf Association’s annual GOLF FOR A CURE Tournament to fund cancer research will take place on April 23. Proceeds go to the Mercer University School of Medicine to fund cancer research projects and the Summer Scholars Program at its Savannah campus.

If you’re a non-golfer, you have three opportunities to participate in this special event:

  1. By making a $100 tax-deductible donation to Mercer University School of Medicine, you can attend the reception immediately following play (5:30 in the event of rain) at Plantation Clubhouse. The $30 charge for the reception, which will include heavy hors d’oeuvres and dessert, will be charged to your Club Account.  If you are interested in attending the reception, please contact Carole Sangalli at carolesang42@gmail.com.

  2. You can buy a hole sign to honor a friend or loved. Hole signs can be purchased by an individual, a group or a business and will be displayed on the golf courses during the tournament. Each hole sign costs $250 and can be purchased by delivering your check(s) made out to Mercer University School of Medicine, along with the language to be included on the sign, to Linda Rubin at 8 Southerland Road.

  3. You can buy raffle tickets, which are three for $10 and are being sold at upcoming Landings Club events. Raffle tickets will be available at the Wellness Center each Friday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. They are also on sale before Landings golf events such as the Men’s Member-Member on March 8-10, Women’s Member-Member on March 12-13 and before all LWGA play on Tuesdays. Look for announcements of other upcoming raffle ticket sales dates and locations or contact Gretchen Nazaruk at kechup57@aol.com

We are “ALL IN FOR A CURE” and welcome all members of The Landings Club to join in the effort. Please join us in the fight against cancer.
