Youth Golfers Awarded Spots at Savannah Golf Championship Pro-Am

On Saturday afternoon, The Landings Club elite youth golfers competed for two spots in the Tour's Savannah Golf Championship Pro-Am. Before play, participants hit drives on Flightscope to calibrate driver distance to determine their 9-hole teeing ground distance (i.e. Tournament, Club, Magnolia, Skidaway, etc.). Reed Lotter and Andrew Messalle won the two qualifying spots with a close tie for third by Kate Barber and Mary Miller. Savannah Country Day School freshman, Reed competed from the Tournament tee (shot 37) with eight pars and one bogey on the front nine of Magnolia. Andrew Messalle, 7th grader at Savannah Country Day School, played from the Club tee and narrowly missed a putt on 9 to tie Reed and finished one back with a 38. Mary Miller and Kate Barber just missed out both bogeying the last to finish with 39.
